Korey Philpot Joins Staff as Coordinator, Operations

Korey Philpot to join Golf House Kentucky as Coordinator, Operations.

LOUISVILLE, KY (January 31, 2022) – Korey Philpot has been hired to the Golf House Kentucky team as the organization’s Coordinator, Operations. He is is set to begin this full-time role with Kentucky’s Family of Golf Organizations on Tuesday, February 1.

Philpot completed internships with Golf House Kentucky during the 2017 and 2018 tournament seasons. Most of his time during those work experiences was dedicated towards working with the Kentucky PGA Junior Tour and its operations. Those opportunities helped him complete a bachelor’s degree in business management: hospitality and tourism at Transylvania University, from which he graduated in 2020. During most of 2021, Philpot dedicated his time towards Pyramid Golf Management as the Director of Collegiate Operations and with PDS Copiers as an Account Executive.

His role at Golf House Kentucky will concentrate primarily on completing course ratings at Kentucky golf courses. Philpot will work with facilities and their PGA Professionals to ensure the course and slope ratings from each tee are accurate for golfers’ score postings. Additionally, he will be present at KGA, KPGA and KGF events throughout the golf season assisting with tournament operations.
