Kentucky to Host Nine USGA Qualifiers in 2022

The Kentucky Golf Association will conduct nine USGA Qualifiers during the 2022 season. These events will serve as the gateways for golfers to reach the USGA’s upcoming National Championships.

This slate of events will begin with a U.S. Open Local Qualifier at Kearney Hill Golf Links on Wednesday, May 11. The top finishers at this event will advance to Final Qualifying outside of Kentucky for the U.S. Open, which will be contested at The Country Club of Brookline in Massachusetts on June 16-19.

For the first time since 2007, a National Championship will be contested in Kentucky when the U.S. Girls Junior takes place at The Club at Olde Stone in Bowling Green this July. That will be the sixth USGA National Championship staged in Kentucky. Young girls aspiring to play in that competition will have a Qualifier available to them at Cherry Blossom Golf Club on Friday, May 27.

Seven Qualifiers will follow over the remainder of the season. The last two, which are Qualifiers for the U.S. Women’s Amateur Four-Ball and the U.S. Amateur Four-Ball, are both National Championships that will take place in the spring of 2023. Please note that all dates and venues are subject to change.
