Sally Morgan, PGA Joins Staff as New Assistant Executive Director

LOUISVILLE, KY (February 17, 2021) - Sally Morgan, PGA will be the newest member of the Golf House Kentucky staff as a new Assistant Executive Director. Morgan will fill this brand-new position within the organization, focusing on Kentucky PGA Section and Kentucky Golf Foundation matters. Mack Van Lenten’s Assistant Executive Director position will continue to revolve around Kentucky Golf Association tasks, as it did in 2020.

Morgan will join the team having spent the last three years with the Carolinas PGA Section as the Director of Marketing. During that timeframe, she became a Certified PGA Professional in General Management. Prior to joining the Carolinas Section, Morgan graduated from the PGA Golf Management program at Mississippi State University with a BBA in Marketing while minoring in Finance. Her internship experience while earning her degree included time with the Tennessee PGA Section, PGA of America Headquarters and the PGA TOUR.

“I could not be more excited to join the Golf House Kentucky team,” Morgan said. “I have served as the Director of Marketing for the Carolinas PGA since January of 2018 and seen my passion for working within the Section space, across all areas of the operation, grow even more than I anticipated. That is what excites me most about becoming the Assistant Executive Director - KPGA at Golf House Kentucky; being able to support and inspire over 300 PGA Professionals through quality tournaments, intriguing education, inspiring marketing, and by developing lasting fundraising initiatives and partnerships. I really look forward to engaging with the GHK team in particular because the success thus far is directly due to their fantastic work. I look forward to inspiring further cohesiveness among the team to translate to great service to the Golf House Kentucky PGA Professionals, amateur body, junior programming, foundation beneficiaries, and more.”

“The creation and filling of this position will enable us to fulfill the long-term strategic plans developed by each of the organizations in Golf House Kentucky,” Jeff Adkerson, PGA CEO/Executive Director stated. “We are excited Sally will join us as she brings a creativity, enthusiasm and passion for the golf industry that will greatly benefit us as we strive to achieve our strategic directives.”

Morgan will officially join the Golf House Kentucky staff in March at which point contact information will be provided. Kentucky’s Family of Golf Organizations looks forward to welcoming Morgan to the team, and asks you join us in giving her a warm welcome to Kentucky!
