Douglas, Massie & Oldendick Win 2019 KPGA Match Play Competitions

On Friday, September 13, Hurstbourne Country Club hosted the Championship matches of the 2019 Cunningham Vehicles Kentucky PGA Match Play. The summer-long competition kicked off in May and after Kentucky PGA Members and Assistants traveled around the state to compete against their counterparts, the tournament reached its ending with the Members, Assistants and Seniors Divisions.

Chad Douglas of The Club at Olde Stone knocked off Tom Walters of Summit Hills Country Club to win the Members Division with a 4&2 victory. Jesse Massie of Woodhaven Country Club captured the Assistants Division by defeating Brad Maynard of Shelbyville Country Club in 4&2 fashion as well. Lastly, Bruce Oldendick from Florence defeated Barry Bonifield of Crescent Hill Golf Course with a 4&3 victory. 

Douglas picks up $750 for his win while Massie and Oldendick each pick up $500 checks for their respective victories. The Kentucky PGA Section expresses its thanks to Cunningham Golf & Utility Vehicles for their partnership in this season-long competition along with Hurstbourne Country Club for allowing the Section to conduct the Finals matches at their venue. Congratulations to Chad, Jesse and Bruce on their titles!
