Jim Herman Wins Barbasol Championship in Nicholasville

On Monday, July 15th the Kentucky PGA will conduct the Monday Qualifier for the 2019 Barbasol Championship at Boone's Trace National Golf Club in Richmond. The low four players on Monday will qualify for Kentucky's lone PGA Tour event at Keene Trace Golf Club on July 18-21. Attendance for the Monday Qualifier is free and will provide golf fans the chance to watch a different side of competitive golf rarely seen by the public eye.

The Monday Qualifier will contain a field composed of PGA Tour players, Korn Ferry Tour players and Kentucky golfers seeking the rare opportunity to compete alongside the best players in the world. Among the notable players competing at Boone's Trace National Golf Club include the following:

  • Jason Bohn - Two-time PGA Tour winner
  • Trey Bowling - 2008 Kentucky Open champion
  • Tommy Gainey - PGA Tour winner and former contestant on Golf Channel's Big Break
  • Blake Watts - Three-time KPGA Section Championship winner
  • Brett Wetterich - PGA Tour winner and 2006 USA Ryder Cup participant

For those unable to attend in person, Golf House Kentucky will have content throughout the competition on Twitter alongside Monday Q Info. The Golf House Kentucky account will have constant updates throughout the day and live video if there is a playoff necessary to determine any of the four spots up for grabs. The Monday Q Info account will deliver its consistent unprecedented coverage of professional qualifiers in the form of player backgrounds, notable scores and statistics demonstrating the quality of the golf being played.
