Mack Van Lenten Joins Golf House Kentucky Staff

Golf House Kentucky is proud to announce Mack Van Lenten as the newest addition to its staff. Van Lenten began on Monday as the new Director of Association Services for Kentucky’s Family of Golf Organizations. His new role will include managing the association’s Course Rating, Handicapping and Tournament Management program, as well as key functions within the Kentucky Golf Foundation’s Youth on Course initiative.

“I am truly excited to join such a fantastic organization on a full-time basis,” said Van Lenten. “I am looking forward to serving our members, member clubs and golfers throughout the state in this new role.”

Van Lenten brings a wealth of knowledge to Golf House Kentucky, as he previously served as Junior Programs Coordinator for the organization this summer. In that role, he helped coordinate the Kentucky PGA Junior Tour’s extensive tournament schedule, and also coordinated the association’s high school tournament management program. Prior to this year, he worked for two summers as an intern on the Musselman-Kirchdorfer Golf Tour.

As the USGA prepares to release a new set of the Rules of Golf in 2019, a new GHIN Handicap platform in 2019 and the World Handicap System in 2020, Van Lenten will play a critical role in educating golfers and professionals throughout the state. He will also be involved in the association’s Youth on Course initiative, which provides junior golfers an opportunity to play golf across the state for $5 or less.

“We are truly excited to welcome Mack to the Golf House Kentucky team,” said Brent Paladino, Executive Director. “With all of the upcoming changes in golf administration, Mack has the perfect personality and set of skills to be able to service golfers throughout the state in these key areas.”

Van Lenten grew up in Crestwood, Kentucky and graduated from South Oldham High School. An accomplished player, he went on to play collegiate golf at Bellarmine University in Louisville. He earned Academic All-American honors in his senior season and also helped the team qualify for the NCAA Division II National Championship in 2016. He graduated from Bellarmine University in 2016 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, and graduated from the University of Louisville in 2018 with a Master’s Degree in Sports Administration.
