Kentucky’s PGA HOPE (Helping Our Patriots Everywhere) program provides all Veterans with free golf instruction taught by local PGA Professionals.  The HOPE program is designed to provide golf as a therapeutic rehabilitation tool for all military Veterans. The lifetime sport of golf has proven to be an excellent outlet for activity and competition, but also allows Veterans to assimilate back into their community through the social interaction the game provides. A newly created PGA HOPE league will also give any veteran who graduates from the program the opportunity to continue playing the game by participating in a weekly competitive golf league.

In 2018, PGA HOPE programming impacted 2,000 Veterans across the country, with the goal of impacting 2,500 Veterans in 2019. Veteran suicide is a major issue in the Veteran community, and statistics show 22 Veterans a day commit suicide. PGA HOPE is working to change this statistic by utilizing the game of golf as a form of therapy.
