LEXINGTON, KY. – The 47th Clark's Pump-N-Shop Kentucky Women's Senior Amateur Championship tees off Monday at Griffin Gate Golf Club, where a 100-player field will play 36 holes of stroke play across two days. Players will compete across five divisions while also playing for the overall championship title. Both days feature a  9 a.m. shotgun start that sends all 25 groups out across the course.

The event also features a team competition, in which any three players from the same club or facility are deemed a team, with the best scores from that club or facility over the two rounds determining the standings.

One group brings together two past champions and last year's top two division finishers. Cindy Summers of Indian Hills Country Club, a three-time champion from 2016 through 2018, and Joyce Abbott of Keene Trace Golf Club, who won in 2015 and 2019, will play alongside Carolyn Paul and Laurie Goodlett of Juniper Hill Ladies, who finished 1-2 in last year's Freshman Division (55+). Between the four of them, the group accounts for five Women's Senior Amateur titles and last year's top two finishers in one of the championship's five divisions, making it one to follow all week. The group will begin at 9 a.m. on the first hole.

All eyes will also be on Susan Stewart. The Audubon Country Club member and Kentucky Golf Hall of Famer has won five straight Women's Senior Amateur titles, a streak that stretches back to 2021 at The Woodford Club. She followed with a 10-over 154 at Elizabethtown Country Club in 2022 and a 14-over 158 at Woodson Bend Resort in 2023 before her two most recent victories, each shot in the 140s: an even-par 144 at Henry County Country Club in 2025 and a 2-under 142 at Bardstown CC at Maywood in 2024.

Stewart will look to make it six in a row this week, and she won't have to look far for last year's closest pursuer. She's paired with Delia Kahle of Seneca Golf Course, who held the first-round lead in 2025 before Stewart pulled ahead to win.

Cynthia Powell, the 2020 champion, is entered out of host club Griffin Gate Golf Club and will play alongside Aggie Hampton, Gail Blair and Melba Kindervater. Playing a course she knows well gives Powell a look worth watching as the week unfolds. The group will begin at 9 a.m. on the 14th hole.

Charlotte Logsdon of Eagle's Nest Country Club, who won the championship in 2010 and 2014, rounds out the field's list of past champions. She's grouped with Macaire Benson, Elaine Cloud and Teresa Prather, teeing off at 9 a.m. on the 18th hole.

This is the first time the championship heads to Lexington's Griffin Gate Golf Club. Designed by legendary course architect Rees Jones, the course challenges golfers of every skill level while delivering a memorable round and an unforgettable experience. Native trees, strategic bunkers, and water features shape a dynamic layout that challenges golfers of all skill levels. The course hosted the PGA Tour Champions' Citizens Union Senior Golf Classic, later known as the Bank One Senior Classic, from 1983 through 1989, an event that once drew Arnold Palmer to the first tee and crowned major champions Gay Brewer and Bob Charles among its winners. More than three decades later, the Lexington course welcomes another field of accomplished senior golfers to its fairways.

The field competes across five divisions, each contested at both gross and net: Freshman (55+), Sophomore (60+), Junior (65+), Senior (70+) and Super-Senior (75+).
