Member Team Wins Fourth Straight Kaiser Cup Following Cancelation of Tuesday Singles

Inclement weather cancels final round of Kaiser Cup supported by Levelwear; clinches fourth straight victory for Member team.

FLORENCE, IN (April 5, 2022) – Mother Nature did not allow for the first Kentucky PGA tournament of 2022 to go as planned, as heavy rain and cold temperatures at Belterra Golf Club led to the cancellation of singles matches in the Kaiser Cup supported by Levelwear.

That means for the fourth consecutive time in the event, the Member team has defeated the Assistant/Associate team with a final score of 3.5-1.5 based on Monday’s four-ball matches. It adds another layer to the run of victories that have been seen in recent history with this event, following an eight-year winning streak from 2010-2017 with the Assistant/Associate team. Now, the Members of the Section have established their own impressive streak.

The Kentucky PGA Section extends its thanks to Ty Robinett, Golf Operations Manager at Belterra Golf Club along with his staff for their assistance throughout the tournament. Additionally, the KPGA sends its appreciation towards Jeff Ammerman and Levelwear for their support of the event and providing each player their uniforms for the competition.

Many of the players in this week’s field will be competing next week in the first tournament on the 2022 calendar that is open to all players, including amateurs. That will be Golf House Kentucky Classic #1 presented by Mobile Pro Shop, which takes place at Country Club of Paducah on Monday, April 11.
