Kentucky PGA Releases 2023 Schedule

Kentucky PGA’s 2023 schedule set.

LOUISVILLE, KY (January 11, 2023) – The Kentucky PGA Section has completed its 2023 tournament schedule which features almost one event per week from the beginning of April through the end of October.

The year ahead is highlighted by the State Opens and Section Championships which occupy a significant chunk of the schedule from late June through the end of August. The most prestigious tournament in the state, the 104th Kentucky Open, will take place at Persimmon Ridge Golf Club for the third consecutive year on July 25-27. Preceding it, the Kentucky Senior Open will head to Frankfort Country Club for the second time in four years on June 26-27 while Elizabethtown Country Club will host the Kentucky Women’s Open for the first time on July 17-18.

Winchester Country Club will be the site of the Kentucky Senior PGA Professional Championship on July 31 – August 1 to start the Section Championship slate. Afterwards, the marquee competition for Kentucky PGA Members will visit Hunting Creek Country Club on August 21-22 to start the qualification process for the 2024 PGA Championship at Valhalla Golf Club. Indian Hills Country Club is set to welcome both Assistant Professionals and female Pros for the National Car Rental Kentucky Assistant PGA Professional Championship and Kentucky Women’s PGA Professional Championship on August 29.

In terms of changes from previous years, the most noticeable adjustment from the past is the departure of the Golf House Kentucky Classics. Those individual competitions have been replaced by three new team events.
