2x2 Pro-Am presented by Sun Mountain Canceled by Inclement Weather

FRANKFORT, KY (August 30, 2021) - Inclement weather forced the 2x2 Pro-Am presented by Sun Mountain to be canceled on Monday. With Frankfort Country Club hosting the tournament, play began on schedule at 8:30 a.m. EDT before being suspended at 12:40 p.m. because of nearby lightning. As heavy rain fell in the next hour with lightning inching closer to the property, the tournament’s fate was officially called at 1:50 p.m. as the impending weather forecast signaled similar conditions throughout the day.

Players who did not start their rounds will receive a full refund. Those who teed off the 1st hole and played a portion of their round will be granted a refund minus a service charge.

The Kentucky PGA Section sends its thanks to Bruce Brown, PGA Head Golf Professional and his team at Frankfort Country Club for their cooperation and hospitality throughout the event.
