Smiles and Shivers with the Fam

The Kentucky Family Family Championship was held at Juniper Hill Golf Course on Saturday, May 14.  This May day felt more like a European golf vacation day than a typical spring day in Frankfort with windy, cool conditions; but families had a blast teeing it up together for a day of lasting memories. The day began with a great barbecue lunch to provide a bit of warmth before players took the course in two-person teams for a better ball competition. There was some great golf played in difficult conditions in the Open Division! The Father-Son Duo of Tim and Teague Ridge took home top honors in Parent-Son Competition after a round of 67. They edged out Jason and Miles Parraco by one shot. The Father-Daughter Duo of Bill Woolums and Whitney Hines took home the hardware for Parent-Daughter top honors with a 77. Carolyn Kinsolving and Lucien Kinsolving finished Third Overall in the Open Division with a 69 and Rick and Rex Smith finished Fourth Overall with a 71. In the Handicap Division, Jim Ashcraft and Chase Harrod took home the top prize after a fantastic round of 52! Mr. Ashcraft also paired with Todd Bailey to finish Second. Gary Green and Jaxon Moss finished Third. A special thank you to Juniper Hill and PGA Head Professional Kirk Schooley for being fantastic hosts!  We would also like to thank the families who came out to share their special day with Kentucky's Family of Golf Organizations!
