Kentucky's Active Golf Season Now Underway

As of March 1st, the active golf season for handicapping purposes in Kentucky is now underway. Any golfer who posts a score at a Kentucky facility will now see this score count towards his or her handicap index. This will be the case through November.

For any golfer in Kentucky who might be traveling this spring, the following states remain in their inactive season. Any score posted at a course in one of these states will not count until the date in parenthesis.

  • Colorado (March 15)
  • Connecticut (April 1)
  • Delaware (April 1)
  • Illinois (April 1)
  • Iowa (April 1)
  • Maine (April 15)
  • Massachusetts (April 1)
  • Michigan (April 1)
  • Minnesota (April 1)
  • Montana (April 1)
  • New Hampshire (April 1)
  • New Jersey (April 1)
  • New York (April 1 or 15 depending on the area)
  • Nevada (March 15)
  • North Dakota (March 15)
  • Ohio (March 15 or April 1 depending on the area)

Golf House Kentucky is the umbrella organization for Kentucky’s Family of Golf Organizations: Kentucky Golf Association, Kentucky PGA and Kentucky Golf Foundation. The vision of Kentucky’s golf leaders, Golf House Kentucky was founded in 1978, and is headquartered in a picturesque country setting in Louisville, Kentucky.
