(6/4/10)

It has been several years since the competition has been this close but the amateur team representing the best players from the Kentucky Golf Association once again claimed the top honors in the 2010 Mobile ProShop Challenge Cup today at Hurstbourne Country Club. The score was 8 to 7 but a couple of matches could have gone the other way and the outcome would have been much different.

The KPGA Professional team made a quick start and posted three wins in the first three matches but could only post one more win and a split in the remaining matches. Led by former KGA Mid-Amateur Champion Andy Roberts who defeated his opponent Colby Wollitz with an 8&7 result, the amateur team came back with five wins and an all square finish in their matches.

Special thanks to Mobile ProShop representative Phil Armbruster for his continued support of this important event.
